Quick question for anyone in Cairns, a post on the barbie has inspired me to ask do we need heating in Cairns at any particular time of year.

I know I have been told that its shorts weather all year round but does it get cold enough to need it.

thanks

It can get chilly for some born n breed locals, anything under 24ºC means fleeces and beanies for them

If you really feel you need to use heating in winter (for old times sake) then turn the AC on to cold as well and then you will be comfortable. :D

Of course we have heating.
How do you think we cook on the barbie ?

Actually last winter I did find the need for a thin sweater for a night or two.
It actually dropped to 12 degrees one night which is unheard of here. Lowest is normally about the 17 degree mark.

BTW.......the only bloods they took at our meds were HIV tests......they only do the Hep C if you will be working as a nurse/doctor or with kids etc. So don't fret too much about your liver enzymes going crazy on your diet...LOL
Our meds took 22 days to be finalised after arriving at LCU......but some people have said 3 days
Still having a major panic over what the start date will be for hubby.......but I guess we will work something out soon with the house.

Bix don't get to taste unless he teaches me how to BBQ....:sneaky::sneaky:
Think may be too hot to make a curry..more like chicken and salads there I think but I know I will get the urge sooner or later!

Yorkeys Knob, can you imagine having that as your address, not quite go the same ring as Palm Cove has it! I bet your kids though it was well funny when you said you weremoving there..good place to do a bit of plane spotting!
