I don't feel like a failure but I do have dark days when I wonder if it's all been worth it.
Still just taking it a day at a time........

Do you think he'll come back?We left older kids back in the UK and just brought our teenage boy here. He's 16 now and doesn't show any signs of wanting to go back other than for a visit. Phew!

I do hope things smooth out for you, but i personally wouldn't want to live on the other side of the world away from my kids. Perth is a lonely place on it's own.
Be happy

It's been the loneliest 2 years of our lives.
Our plans were never to live on the opposite side of the world from all our kids.

No plans for the moment - just too numb. Will continue to take it all a day at a time and will see how we feel after he has gone. This next week will be very hard.
We've booked a holiday back in Scotland in July for 3 weeks and booked son a return to come back with us if he chooses to. Nothing is certain any more and now citizenship just doesn't seem important.

You have to put your needs and the needs of your family in front of 'getting citizenship'
Does it really mean that much if your not sure here is where you want to be?
If your kids dont come back... will you stay here?...if not then citizenship not an issue
Take one day at a time Jan... try and get through till your visit back... by then you will be able to look at things differently (hopefully)
Stay strong

Thanks Sam
I am not making any decisions while I'm still raw.

Thank you.
When are you hoping to have your daughter with you?
I'm so excited for you.

I'm heading back to Aberdeen in July for 3 weeks.
It'll be the 1st time in over 2 years that I've seen all my kids together.
