2 Years on the Sunshine Coast
We have been on the Sunshine Coast now for just two years, we settled very quickly after arriving.
But over the last 12 months we are now starting to Achieve our goal. our intention was to sell our own brand of Professional Hair Straightener, and after a reasonable First 12 months, we decided that we needed to change our sales direction slightly, when a friend of ours gave us some advice on marketing our product in the Right area.
So after taking the advice we got involved with the top people in the Hair industry, to try and get our product in the right area of the market now 7 months later we are having great sucsess.
We where invited to Sydney in April to Make a presentation on stage at the Sydney opera house, along with a speech , which was a little daunting.
We then got involved with some of Australia's Hair stylists, which involved sponsoring the Queensland Hairdresser of the Year awards and a lady Called Carole Haddad, we are also one of the sponsors of The Fameteam a team of Leading young Australian Hairdressers, they use our product on stage on their world wide tour.
We are launching our new product in Brisbane tomorrow which is a professional Curling wand the First Professional Wand in Australia, it has been on trial here in top salons for the last 2 months, and is getting great reviews.
We now have about 12 wholesalers in Australia country wide, which is great.
Lorraine is doing a National Tafe tour with the Australia Hair Journal Educating hairdressers country wide. we have a guy Called Stephan Lattouf who owns the top 7 Sydney Salons/spa's also the Marriot hotel at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.
Yesterday we met a guy called Robert Bava the current Australian Hairdresser of the year for the last 2 years, he watched Lorraine educating the Fameteam and seeing the results of our new Curling wand , he asked if he could be involved in taking the product into South Australia which is great.
We also Have Wholesalers in New Zealand, they
also have one of the biggest salons in Wellington.
They will be doing the Hairdressing at the NZ vodaphone music awards in October using our tools they are also backed by schwarzkoff who have given our tools to all their technicians.who use them daily.
Back to Family they are all great Lorraine loves the Educating Jess is 21 in Feb she is the leading sales rep at Australian insurance Group earning big bucks. she goes to Japan in 3 weeks for a holiday.
Georgia is now 15 she loves life here, she works 12 Hours a week at Woolworths and loves the money.
The freindship area we have loads of Friends most of which are Aussies and Kiwis and we have a great social life , we can work with the top people during the week and comeback to our Friends at the weekend all in all
it was a great move and roll on the next 2 years.
