Default 2 Years in Melbourne

It's ssooo long since I have been on here and wonder if anyone remembers me ?

I arrived in Melbourne on August 5th 2007, so have just passed my 2 year anniversary and thought I'd stop by and say hello .

Does anyone else miss there friends like I do ? All through my walks through life I have easily made friends, i.e. at school, when the kids were young, through work etc, but since i arrived I have not made any friends, and I am finding this very hard indeed to come to terms with .

This is a personnal thing i know but I dont find people as friendly as in the UK.

Luckily i found a job almost as soon as I arrived here, but I did not seem to click with anyone, and now I have resigned due to various issues, so I am now at home but hope to start looking for another job soon.
I have a fantastic husband and would not go back to the UK, my lifestyle is so much better, I am actually living and not just existing anymore, the weather is a big plus, and the food, so many advantages, just the friend side of things, so I am just wondering whether anyone else has felt the same as me ?

where are you in Melbourne? If you are nearby and fancy a coffee then let me know. I have a large network of friends here and we meet up reasonably often and you are more than welcome to join us.

Yep, it's hard to make good female friends here. I'm here 5 years and hve no good aussie female friends. But tons of Irish, American, Canadian. Aussie women are a bit...empty or something.

So just make your friends outside of that pool.
