2 Years already..............

Hi Guys,
Its been a while since I was last on but we have been here for 2 years now and thought I would share my thoughts so far.
Seen some negative posts over the last few months. Well I say negative but thats only my opinion and everyone to their own hey...
Well, what can I say? I dont know where the time has gone, so much has happened i cant believe it really.
Got a job in the 1st week of getting here, still in it now and doing really well. Kids are settled in well and the wife has been working for 12 months so all looking rosy so far.
Bought a block, built a house, getting a new puppy next week. Playing happy familys at the moment. Started playing football again in the Sunday Masters League met some great lads and made some real good friends so far.
Some have dropped off and gone back home (you know who you are) for their own personal reasons but we have stuck it out and are loving it right now.
Its not for everyone but we have grasped the nettle and really got stuck in. Family days out, camping, fishing, BBQ's, sports and really enjoying the lifestyle.
Maybe we were just lucky with the way things have turned out so far but i'm a great believer in making your own luck getting yourself out there and getting on with it.
Dont get me wrong, we have had moments were we look back and think of the friends we left behind who we miss like mad but we know deep down that this is the best move we have ever made. We have had ups and downs like any family but with hard work and support we have made it to a stage were we feel we are really settled.
We done loads of research before we came out and were under no illusions about how hard it would be but as I said we have put ourselves out there and met people, joined in and are loving it.
Obviously we couldnt have done this without the support of each other and when i look at the missus and kids and how they get on with things it makes me feel proud and honoured to have come to this beautiful country and thankful that we are enjoying it as much as we are.
Long may it continue and I would advise anyone thinking about it to research, research and research a bit more before taking the plunge. You never know yeh might just like it....................
Here's to another 2 years !!!!
Thanks for reading.
Rob
