Hi,
My name is Paul and Im 40 and have held a UK class one licence for 18yrs
At the moment Im in Malaysia and have been here for 4yrs, I did go to the
UK for 6 months to work, but now Im looking for a new challenge.

I have done a little research on being a truck driver in NZ, but the info
that I have been reading is all for people who want to reside in NZ.

I only want to work for a maximum of 12 months and during that time
Im hoping to see as much of the country as possible whilst driving.
Nights out are not a problem and even weekends away, in truth if I can
live in the truck I will. Before I came to Malaysia I lived in my volvo FH for
15 months whilst doing European work so I know how to survive.

I am prepared to just jump on a plane and come to NZ but if possible
I would like to have a work permit before I arrive, because I would like to
start work straight away as I have read that an application for a work
permit can take time.

I hope this post isnt to long and that someone can offer me some advice
on what steps to take.
