[QUOTE=GearJammer;6797123]First of all appologies for the poor quality picture, but it was the best I could do at the time.

I thought I had better respond in kind to the mourne mountain comments, so for all who have never seen them, here is my lorry pictured in front of the real mourne mountains ( all be it a bit more blurry than usual).
How do they compare to Gremmie's? lol

I had to look 3 times before i realised that their were hills in ya picture but ya lorry looks cute

January '07?? Is it really that long ago since you first appeared here?
Yea, 2 years & 2 months since I moved to Canada. It actually seems a lot longer than that. And no, I never thought it would all end up with me getting married and living in the states. Surprising where life takes you sometimes. Can't complain though. Life & marriage are pretty good.
Boots is fit & well and still fronting up one of the US Presidential campaigns. He also now has his own hammock.
Thanks for the congrats on the new job. Hopefully I can now start to make some decent money again and not have to worry about how we're going to pay the bills.
Well done on your first 1000 posts.
Are you in Canada now or still back in the UK?

Still in the UK at the moment and still serving, but on continuance so only have to give a few months notice which is better than a year, can you imagine any civvy job where you have to give a years notice...

Our main problem was getting the house back off the tenants took a wee while, then we put it onto the market &...the market went tits so have not sold. We have given the estate agent until 01 Oct 08 to seel it after cutting price by £15.000 so if that can't sell it nothing will, we will then put it back out to rent and then bugger off to Canada, wait until we have PR see what the market is like then and sell it then is poss.

As you know Nothing can guarantee you PR so we think it better to rent until then so at least if anything goes wrong we don't have a house to sell in PEI & still have one to come back to in the UK & a foot on the UK market also the income will be a benefit & my pension + we can't sell the bloody thing anyway so no choice. That at the moment is plan X and the best we can do in the current scheme of things, but like all good military plans....subject to change at mins few..
