Re: Eco Downturn has even halted my new position - Bummer...
Well, I am stuck in the UK now.
My Canadian new employer has just informed me tonight UK time that due to the conditions they have delayed my employment, they said that they have little work on right now and not sure when my new start date will be.
Typical when I sent my goods in a container too.
Oh well, looks like a little more agro on UK roads for now....
Other 1/2 is pissed right off......

Well - Well - Well - Now I know why there is little activity in this forum on trucking (Some weeks its quite) and a lot look read and leave as all the crap and small talk that some go on with does piss a lot off.
I cant stand the shit / slander others want to chuck day in day out, some skite within their blog about it, one can take it, providing its meant in light ways thus we give it back like a happy family.
Others take is wrong and some like to be so nosey its a joke.
Finished with this forum, I have a life, thoe it may be still in the UK for now, but rest assured I will be in contact via PM to a few of the nice types in this forum and when I do get my Canadian position sorted, I will be visiting a few and will then act like in a TRUE Aussie way and sort out one or two.
Bye all - Hope you all find your dreams, I am happy doing this job right now and will get to Canada when time permits.

Maybe your minds made up mate, but something like this is not worth walking away from. It happens the world over. Online discourse seems to be an extention of human nature...just let them run on. Certain people wont change.
but good luck either way.

It seems the same few people on here use the same tactics on another trucking forum, just generally pissing people off with there awkward pigheaded and knowall attitudes, from reading many threads in the trucking section its not worth adding posts for fear of being slated & ridiculed. Shame the moderators dont do more to stop it.

dont know the ins and outs of bigwheels canada plans but found his advice on australia and nz very misleading and if i didnt know better already would have ended up very dejected when i found out the reality.some people are desperate to get there and would have had high hopes only to be badly let down.

Hi Karron
Are you still heading down to Oz? My wife was a bit keen on it at first but to be honest it just doesnt appeal to me. So she is a good lss and is going with me (if it doesnt work I am never going to be let off the hook this time!)

Don't forget its not everyday that someone new comes along and asks a load of Q's and I'd like to think that we all help them out as much as we can , In between though it gets boring so we start slagging each other off and generally having a laugh . That's what keeps most folks coming back,
Don't forget the ones already in Canada and settled don't have to come on here and answer Q's and I do mainly because I know what it feels like just before a life changing move and you want to make sure its the right one.
I got all sorts of negative feedback just before I came over, But it made me even more determined to make it work. You just have to read between the lines sometimes.
Anyway wish you luck when you finally get over here its a great place to live/work

Aye C'mon back BW,
look at myself, it used to be me V's most of the trucking forum sometimes but you need to be able to take the slagging as well as giving out plenty in return!!
Its all just a load of banter and a bit of "the craic" anyhow.
