Default Yae for the local

Trawled through all the local offies in the area, and at long last, one of them stocks Caffrey's, so I'm pretty chuffed, didn't have any in stock at the mo as apparently he normally gets it in towards end of summer after clearing the summer beers, but should be getting it in a couple weeks, though at $8.19 for a 4 pack, won't be every day stuff, but I'm happy...first time I've seen it around here...plenty of other nice beers too, though one place, looks a dive from the outside, and small, on the inside, it is lovely, and goes way out....the 6 packs were well pricey, but getting 12 pack or more and suddenly so cheap...

still weird not being able to get booze in the grocery store, but oh well...

So what tipples have you lot found from home that made your day?

Nice one!

Haven't found too much that has been out of the ordinary in the way of alcohol. But then again I like all kinds of alcohol

glad you found your caffreys Bob. i was happy when i found abott ale, especially as it's brewed near where i used to live.

like you, the place i get my beer from is a little hole-in-the wall, they have a great selection of UK beers though.

Aye, those weird little places are fun...and quite an impressive selection of beers from all over, chinese, japanese, all sorts, only one's I've not seen are Indian beers like Cobra etc...not that I'm to bothered *lol*

And it is amusing what UK beers are cheap, and which aren't, like boddingtons and Tetleys, all rather pricey....but Fosters, 24 pack of bottles on sale for $20....and as low as the stocks of beers are at home, just couldn't do it...I ain't a student anymore *lol*

I find it kinda odd that Newcy Brown is everywhere, is this just in PA or all over?

I've found Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout which the hub was mightily pleased about.
