This is something that could have happened in the US but it didn't but I'll share anyhow, as its still a wtf.

A lady driving an SUV hits a traffic control person, then further down the road hits another (neither were killed, but one was seriously hurt.) then a few streets away proceeds to assault some children.

Charges haven't been filed yet, but the driver is in police custody pending charges.

Er, haven't you noticed how Americans treat traffic lights? ..... Three more after the light turns red, and another couple if there is no traffic coming! I would foresee complete anarchy if you tried to regulate a single land road alongside road works using traffic lights.

SAN FRANCISCO - A man from El Salvador in the U.S. illegally who sued San Francisco after police turned him over to immigration authorities in violation of the city's sanctuary law is set to be awarded $190,000, his attorney said Thursday.

Pedro Figueroa-Zarceno, 33, reached the settlement agreement with the city attorney's office, said Saira Hussain, a staff attorney at the Asian Law Caucus who represented Zarceno. The agreement must be approved by the Board of Supervisors.

Here they have red light cameras , and the fine is insane. The cops would have a field day if that sort of thing happened.

They had construction near me with a 25 limit, down from 40. I'm sure the cops camped overnight. They made a fortune in tickets.

I slowed down when a traffic light turned amber, and got rear-ended. .... Luckily I was driving my truck. The Hyundai behind me got a neat square hole in his front bumper cover where he hit my truck's hitch receiver.
