Heinz 57 sauce is very similar to HP curry sauce, lovely on cold meat.

Daddies is still being made, however it (along with HP Sauce) is no longer being made in Birmingham after over 100 years, as all production was moved to Holland, so I won't be buying either of them, or any other Heinz products for that matter, due to the treatment of the staff there.

Tescos Brown Sauce is a perfectly satisfactory replacement

It's alright, it's better than lipton's excuse for tea at least, won't need 2-3 tea bags a brew anyway

Hmmm...haven't tried Tesco's - but I can't get that in the US either so it's moot.

As long as it is better than Twinings English Breakfast Tea I shan't complain.

you know I love biscuits (cookies), but no matter where you go here they are so expensive, an example would be in say Asda you could buy a pack ( the cheapies)for 20 pence or so, thats 40 cents (in US near as dam it.)however in any store here in Niagra County NYS, you have to pay a dollar 50 for the same thing, Icant believe the price of things here food wise.

I know, and nowhere sells anything "value". You know, all UK supermarkets have them, the equivalent to Smartprice, Tesco value... anything like that. The closest is Great Value at WalMart, but to be honest, I've seen better scraps in a bin.
