Ok. So some things that we would really like to be able to find a regular supplier for in the US.

If anyone knows which Southern OH/Eastern KY I can get any of these things, I'd be grateful.

1) Schwartz gravy mixes
2) Asda curry base mixes (I know Wal.Mart is the only chance for this, has anyone looked for them?) - I know there are others but we're kinda brand-addicted....
3) PG Tips pyramid teabags (I remember reading a post about this a while back but can't find it!)
4) An electric kettle (target?)
5) Duvets (missus says she's never seen any for sale there - I'm skeptical!)
6) Super-King sized bedding (6ft wide bed)
7) Fosters Lager

I'm sure I will think of more later!

I know that, but since WalMart bought them out, I have seen some "Asda" things appearing at Wal.Mart...I knew curry was a longshot but thought it worth asking.

Ikea sells duvets;
PG Tips, try World Market, likewise the curry stuff.

Meijer stores have an Intl Food Aisle and you can get some curry stuff there, I've seen a lot Pataks there.

A note on British foodstuffs in general - if you look hard enough you will find small quantities of some things, at prices much higher than in the UK. (Eg. at Cost Plus/World Market) Many things will be unobtainable locally. Start getting used to the fact that once in the US, British food will be a limited treat once in a while. If you want to completely recreate a British diet you'll be disappointed.

Yeah I've started conditioning myself to that end. I'm not trying to recreate a complete British diet but would like to keep some things the same.

The good thing is that my wife was quite young (20) when we married, and has only really learned cooking since then, for the last 8 years. So she only really knows how to cook "British" now....so that will help keep things the same to a certain extent, ingredients permitting....

I've been trying other curry brands but have got too addicted to the Asda ones. Now nothing else will do.

4) An electric kettle (target?) target/sears/bedbath and beyond etc etc anywhere that sells small kitchen appliances really - just dont expect much choice.
5) Duvets << got my comforter (just like a duvet) in target - come in 2 parts one thick, one thin so three 'warmth' levels can be chosen.
6) Super-King sized bedding (6ft wide bed) << got my king size (nearest equiv to uk superking) in target but can get in most stores that sell linens.

So what size is "king" in the US then?

Basically I have got used to a 6 foot wide bed and struggle to sleep in anything smaller than that now.
