As I sit on a forum of say-100 Brits you say I'm not being taken seriously. Perhaps that's entirely accurate. I can live with that. On he other hand, you're surrounded by roughly 320 million people and I can promise you love, you're being laughed at as well. It's just we try to be PC and keep it behind closed doors. (that emoticon was just an attempt at British play as your counterparts seem to think it's the thing to do)

My poor dears. I didn't realize (with a "z" thank you) you would all be hanging on waiting for my appearance. I have a life you know. I can't be at your beck and call for entertainment at every moment.

Ditto. On the plus side, it was hilarious - irate American trying to antagonise a bunch of Brits (and other nationalities), but failing miserably and just having the piss taken out of her. Kind of like a 3 year old that tries to get attention by having a tantrum, and her parents just laugh at her and talk amongst themselves instead.

An early contender for thread of the year? :D

Oooh! This is a comment I would love to respond to! You see I was rather proud that I got your lot stirred up enough to get 12 pages of responses in less than (I'll be generous) 2 hours? Be a dear and **** off will you? :)

Well that was a thoroughly entertaining read! I wonder if he/she'll come back. Probably won't be too fussed with me as I'm Scottish and am pretty positive and happy to be living in the US and am embracing the culture. Don't want to encourage him/her though, wouldn't be a good idea would it? :D

I have met Scots stateside and have found that they (the ones I have met) do adopt the culture they have entered and are very successful professionally and socially. I have a lot of respect for the Scots I know.

You're confused. You're thinking of Australians.

You can get the British cut of bacon at various butchers-usually small shops, not big grocers. One Sunday a month our family has a proper British breakfast. So sorry, to detract from your witticism but the answer is YES. Sorted.

Are the Australians especially Christian? I had no idea.

Bollocks, I hope he/she/it comes back for another go.

Here now. Let's debate how wonderful you are and how lucky America got by your presence. I'm dying to hear details!
