Yesterday - the wife and I worked a few hours (me in the morning and her at night) and played in the sprinkler out in the back garden with the kiddiewinkles. Went to the farmer's market downtown and received 4 free tickets to the local Triple A baseball game on 8/10/08. Got home and found a package in the mailbox from an Ohio bakery (Nickels). In it was an iPod Nano which the wife won in a sweepstakes
Last night, the local ABC/NBC affiliate had a picture of our 2 eldest playing in the back garden in their "You News" segment. Pic was taken last week and sent in by the MIL. Wife also won $2 on a scratch card. Strange day. Today? I'm working again for a few hours then we might go to the zoo here in town which is one of the best in the Land.

Sweating my.. er bottom off here in Kissimmee, Fl, fiddling with my new electric guitar/amp. Almost conquered Three Blind Mice, moving on to 'Free Bird' now
I went on the new Simpsons ride at universal studios the other day and it made me and the misses a bit sick, shan't do it again.

Seriously... Despite everything I said in the previous post, if I could hook my PS2 up properly and play Madden for the next 5 hours, I'd still be a happy fella.
Edit: Drunk, and playing Madden, but happy. Right now, I'm just the former.

Played soccer for the first time in 4 weeks after an injury. ( One deflected goal and 2 assists)
Went to see Les Miserables last night at the Hollywood Bowl, very good show. Preceeded by a picnic at the Bowl........... and 2 bottles of wine.
Would have been nice if the kids had had some sympathy and slept in, we didn't get to bed until after 1AM, they were up at 6:30 as usual.

For anyone new to LA I highly recommend the HB. Wonderful atmosphere at the pre-show picnic with people from all walks of LA life. They still have some tickets left for tonights show.
This is probably my favorite bit, as it has personal meaning and memories for me. A great show and well worth catching, especially if you guzzle a couple of bottles of wine beforehand

went to the Ohio state fair yesterday - spent a tonne of cash on the overpriced food and drink and then on the kiddiewinks who decided the bumper cars were the vest thing ever. Then onto a old neighbours cookout into the evening.

Replaced all the light bulbs in the house with low energy ones... at outrageous cost. Replaced the fugly lights with new light fittings in the kitchen and master bathroom.
Attended my company's long-service dinner... how the f**k have I been here 5 years already?!? It was at Three Forks, and I had absolutely, positively the best steak I've ever tasted. Any of you here in Dallas looking for a genuinely great steak (and prepared to spend $$$ for the privilege) should check it out, if you haven't already. Work kindly paid for dinner, but not for drinks... let's just say that my drinks bill was quite an eye-opener!
Went and watched daughter play indoor soccer (they won 7-1), worked out at the gym for a couple of hours... now time to down a bottle of wine and soak in the pool before I head off to California on business tomorrow.
