Dude ranch anyone?
Well I somehow managed to get myself roped into a week playing Cowboy out in Pueblo CO, Has anyone done this before? What have I got myself into?
I haven`t ridden anything that big since Grab-a-Granny night back in the 70s
Soooo, whats the climate in that area in August? do I pack for warm weather, cold weather or both? What about Bears, Coyotes etc? The whole week is organised for Trail rides, Cattle drives, shooting, white water rafting etc but is there anything else worth seeing/doing?
Ok last question....How realistic was Broke Back Mountain

There isn't too much excitement with Pueblo itself.. so just as well that everything is planned for you per se.
Still, since you're down there... venture over to the Sand Dunes which are to the southwest of Pueblo... in the San Luis Valley.
Also, go over to Royal Gorge
you will more than likely hear and smell a bear well before seeing it but they
are around... who knows, you might get lucky and see one close hand. Don't
worry about it.
If you are up in the hills and/or camping, then pack clothes for both, hot days and cooler nights - contact the place where you shall be moseying
around, pardner. (BBM was Wyoming...so you're good!)
If you're near Colorado Springs at the end, go up Pikes Peak.. recky around Garden of the Gods. Take your camera!
