In a narcissistic moment, I kind of missed me on here :-)

Haven't posted in nearly 2 years.

I became a USC about 4 years ago. My interest faded a little in the immigration system, as did my knowledge, which was rapidly going out of date. I originally came over in 2001 on a J-1 visa, but I have to acknowledge 15 year old advice about a visa system isn't worth a lot.

So it's nothing personal, but with less to learn and less to give, my contribution dropped. I still sometimes take a look. Far less "I went to disney for a week, I want to move!" threads these days :-)

Y'all couldn't really miss me, because since citizenship I've not been posting, thinking it best to try [emphasis on "try"] to feel my 'Murican half more, rather than still all Brit. Anyway, I've been lurking for a while recently due to the Brexit attack on the exchange rate (which affects my 2 pensions from the UK and an unexpected inheritance I have coming in the near future); as well as feeling curious about what was being said here about the 2016 election debacle.

I was a regular reader and occasional commenter all through my immigration journey, 2003/4, and remain ever grateful for the information and support I received then.

Best wishes to y'all (for my sins I landed in deepest Oklahoma, by the way!)

I miss Nice Guy and also Batty from the NZ forum. Dazal who was quite active back in 2007/2009 died earlier this year, after 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was a great character.

That's great to hear ... next time you chance upon her, wish her a big hello from me. We go way back
