What do you dip your fries in.

Re: What do you dip your fries in.
What a bunch of ponces.
The only acceptable accompaniments for chips apart from salt and malt vinegar (which should be mandatory) are, in order:
1. Curry Sauce
2. Gravy
3. Tomato Sauce (sparingly)
4. HP, if one feels adventurous.
Using anything other than the above is as bad as putting sugar in tea and should, quite frankly, be grounds for beheading in the Tower

Chips without salt and malt vinegar are like a broken pencil.

Definitely mayo for me. Got introduced to this by a Dutch colleague in the 90s and have never recovered.
Alternatives are curry sauce, mushy peas or sweet and sour sauce (when having a Chinese).
I also got into having potato wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce after visiting Australia in the 2000s. This was a common appetizer dish at many restaurants in Oz at the time (at least the part we were in). Very yummy.

Potato's are very receptive as the many dips show on this thread.

I'll try the sour cream and sweet chili with wedges today, it sounds good.
