This is the battery from Mrs L's electric pruner. I need a new charger for it and the only source is out of stock. I have a suitable charge with interchangeable power tips but not this one. Search Amazon but can't find a tip. It might help if I knew the correct name for this type of connection, and was hoping the collective knowledge here might have an answer.

Google identifies it as a Metabo…is that correct?

Unfortunately not, but thanks for trying. The charger is just a plug with a length of cable with a connector on the end.

What brand is it? It may be proprietary and not have any widely used name.

The charger comes from the American Lawn Mower Company but has Scotts name on it. Scotts are part of ALM. No doubt it is actually made in China. Charger Hoyoa model HYCH0900400U, they helpfully put that on the battery.

Do you have the old charger (even if it's non-functional)? That's what you are trying to replace, right? It would help to see what it looks like.

Looks like they show up on ebay from time to time - https://www.ebay.com/itm/17542151325...YAAOSwHxRjKKMn - available now for $11.99.

The ebay page says "Scotts HYCH0900400U AC Adapter Charger for Cordless Pruner 9v 400ma "

Also from the ebay page:

If would greatly help if you took a sharper picture. Just take half a dozen, and you'll typically find one that's in focus. Delete the rest - doesn't cost anything!

Yes it was the charger I needed to replace, the old one is missing. I managed to get one in the end. Thanks.
