I've only rented a car from Heathrow once. Never again. I'm lucky though because my sister always comes to pick me up and I use my mother's car once I get there. She only goes to Sainsbury's in it these days so it needs a good drive about

I've rented from there perfectly successfully, several times. The only bad part is trying to drive out of there when you don't know the roads well and are having to readjust to driving on the other side.

Same here. The staff were really nice last time we were there.

I have since rented cars from other car rental companies at MAN with no problem...but I will not use Hertz again.

Yeah. The point being that you can have good or bad experiences anywhere, with any company, and it has nothing to do with the bit of geography your rental company happens to be sitting on.

i'm going to have to check for earwigs in the car when I go out now. Better than checking for bombs under it though when I was in Belfast and during the IRA hay days with my then army officer husband.

Yes, on the whole earwigs are better than bombs.

In fairness...the car rental companies have far fewer autos at MAN...because they don't have the volume of visitors from the North America like the London airports do.

I'm always glad there are lots of road markings on the roads in the UK. That way, if I'm reading them upside down I know to get over.
