I've never installed one, as they seem standard on the houses round here. They seem to be a prefab unit manufactured to fit between the frames, and are just lagbolted in. Can't imagine it would be too difficult to fit. They are a doddle to use, and make the attic far more accessible for step-ladder-phobics like me

My mother likes it, perhaps because it is much better than what they had before (which was no shower at all), and I guess she knows that this is as good as it is going to get.

UK is rapidly moving to mains pressure DHW anyway, so powershowers will die out in a few years.

There is a 5 degree difference in the thread taper, BSP being a 55* and NPT at a 60* taper. They will both fit into each other but you will have issues getting them to seal. Personally I wont risk a leak ruining my walls just to get a power shower! (but then I have my own well and just turn the pressure up on my pressure switch at the pump!)

I agree - UK electric showers are abysmal compared to all the showers I've ever had here. Now, in CA, they do require you to install some flow regulator, which is not terribly limiting but - I've removed them from my shower head since I like to have skin abrasions from my shower ...
Bus stops, with benches.....and regular buses for that matter, but when there are bus stops, there's hardly any cover and no seating....or bus laybys, they just stop on the road blocking traffic.

Take the head off.
See what your water flow is.
Take head apart, clean it out, if you are in a hard water area this can make a major difference. I soak the bits in Lime scale remover and give them a good going over with an old toothbrush.
If your flow is low, is it low to the rest of the house, is there a valve that is partly closed?
