From what I see almost every day here ..... how any of these twats ever pass a test is beyond me

From the total idiots on tuesday evening who stopped dead in the road in Yonkers right in front of my fully loaded 40 tin tanker to look through his f**kin cd collection and risked getting completely wiped out to the stupid pillock I saw in St Albans VT last week who entered a roundabout and stopped at every entrance to look down the side road and make sure nothing is comming .... the roundabout has completely clear vission for about half a mile in every direction and no vehicles of any typre in sight FFS. I was actually asked by someone who had followed me through that roundabout why I didnt stop ?
"Because I know how to use one andy you people dont"

There's a four week wait to get an appointment at my local DMV.

Really wish that I'd know this about 4 weeks ago!!

Yes, that's what my UKC husband was told when we were living in the UK.

Is that for the written test? You can walk in to get that, then at least you have a permit.

Don't make the mistake that I made and over study. I learned the entire thing, only to find that the "test" was a bullshit multiple choice thing, with obviously silly answers for many of the options.

Do read up on stopping distances (it's what passes for science round here) and under age drinking laws (I shit you not).

OK. Thanks for the tip.

I know that hubby got a question relating to child restraint (age vs size) incorrect, so that's on my list too.

Aye, penalty points, and drinking under 21 are the most important things.

Then on the real test, if you go on a real road, not to speed, to actually stop at a stop sign before creeping up to and then stopping at the white line if they don't line up.

Also be sure to show you are looking over your shoulder as you turn into a bike lane.

but don't do that in Maine, because it's a minor fault taking your eyes off the road and for not using the mirros....because apparently you don't have blank spots when you drive in Maine
