The UK have extradited plenty of UK citizens to the US e.g Abu Hamza and co. etc when they didnt have to and the US detained plenty of UK folks in Guantanamo for years without trial etc face it the UK is an insignificant runt of a nation on the world stage so when the US says jump the UK poodle says how high! Update to this. The CPS has put in an extradition request for the driver. The US, does not seem to think it warrants an extradition.

It will be over before it's even begun. She has no intention of ever returning to the UK voluntarily, and the US will outright refuse to sanction the extradition request, meaning that nothing will be achieved.

But the Government will say, well we did get her charged, but conveniently forget they let her leave the country and didn't tell the parents of the dead boy for 7 days after the accident.

Presumably her and her husband were flown out of a US air base. Would the UK government even have known until informed by the US that she had gone?
