I'd go the usual 15-20%; you're already paying less than you will once she's PM certified.. do you know my Aveda gal charges $150 for coloring?! :eek: Not doing that every 4 weeks for the, er, roots. :)

Just flew back from London. Impeccable service in every pub I went to - and let's just say I visited a few - and no daft tipping involved at all. Just well-paid people who take pride in giving good service.

As it was said before. Waiters and bartenders in the States receive minimum wage or less and rely on tips. When in Rome.....

Sometimes when you go in some of the modern more poncy bars in the UK now they give you your change back on a little plate. I assume this is some kind of suggestion for you to leave a tip? Forget it mate!

he was replying to the post that said you'd get shit service in the UK though...which proves paying better can get just as good or better service than short changing staff.

Absolutely. Having good quality bar staff is one of the main things that makes a decent pub, especially in a traditional local pub.
