Same here. Just haven't found time to watch them yet. Hopefully will get a chance at the weekend.

Cool! Is it the same as the original but with modern special effects or have they changed it quite a bit?

It is so long since I saw the original ...but they have speeded the process up so we know what is going on immediately, effects are good.

We were so much more shockable in the 80's and there was less on tv but it is still worth a look.

I remember some things from the original, my Son keeps asking me..."So, are they lizards in this one?" and "what did they come for?' etc etc...I wish I had never told him I saw he original version! :frown:

I watched the first episode, it looked pretty good, but time will tell I guess.

All 5 episodes were shown on UK TV last week...I think Bob posted about it in the Nova thread.

Re: Tele

I had mentioned it earlier this week, but it finished last night and it really WAS something- WWII in HD on the History Channel. We don't have an HD tv, but they had clips that had never seen the light of day, were not censored and really amazing, AND VERY graphic. They followed 12 Americans through the war, 11 men and one woman in both the European and Pacific theatre. Several were reporters/writers, a nurse, an airman in England, a Tuskegee airman, a Viennese Jew who had escaped and come to the US to fight the Nazis, a Japanese American (his parents were interned in a camp here and just some average folks-you know those typical Americans that had never been abroad before...........

The greatest generation.
