Lucifer shows promise. I was thinking for a while that there should be shows about ordinary angels and demons and how they are neither evil nor good. I realised that I didn't really come up with the idea after remembering Good Omens by Gaiman and Pratchett. Lucifer fit it so well that it seemed like a copy. Until I looked it up and it is based off some Gaiman comic characters. I should probably read more comic books.

Finally got around to watching Mercy Street, which is a few episodes in, made by PBS.

Follows a nurse in a civil war, military run hospital, which is treating both sides of the war.

Quite good, if a little slow to begin with but certainly worth a punt but does have a few gross moments here and there thrown in.

Damien

Anyone see it? I caught the first episode and thought it was okay. Bit slow. Seems to be following the kid as a grown up, starting to get memories of what happened with flashbacks from the movie.

Better Call Saul, second series isn't nearly as fun as the first one, but still hanging in with it but it is pretty meh now.

Blindspot, still very silly but the intrigue with the back story is okay.

We are still hanging in there with 'Elementary', which moves to a Sunday night timeslot this week. Some of the individual crime plots are a bit weak, but the overall character developments are still enjoyable. I never thought they could pull off the parallels as well as they did.

Really enjoying Bosch on Amazon, like how they put all series 2 up on Friday so you can binge watch the entire season.

I've not seen any of those. Damien doesn't interest me. I have recorded the other two but not watched them yet. I struggled watch the first series of BCS...so it may be some time before I view the second series. Blindspot has good reviews.

I've just started binge watching Shades of Blue. Enjoyed it so far but don't know how they can keep the corruption storyline to stretch to a second series.

I forgot all about that. I liked the first series, so will have to get this second series lined up.

I just heard yesterday that "Malcolm in the Middle" is available on Netflix ... time for me to renew my subscription! That's my favorite sitcom of all time!

Buried in some of these hundreds of pages may be a discussion of The Americans. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether it is worth giving up a few hours of one's life to watch it?

I couldn't get through the first series...it was dreadful IMO.

Lucifer has started getting interesting - US tv always spaces out plot lines too thinly and adds too much filler. The writers have taken a more strict approach to how Lucifer is described in the Bible - more like a slightly mischievous angel rather than an evil bat-winged creature from medieval dogma. Now this aspect is being brought to the forefront rather than hiding behind all the police work and detective relationships.

So Castle, has been cancelled which isn't a big surprise. Agent Carter, also, which is a shame as that was quite good.

Supergirl, surprisingly, after being canned is being picked up by CW instead.
