I heard an interview with Martin Freeman, before the series aired. He said one of the appeals of doing the show was it was a one off series, of 10 episodes. So I don't think so. Is there even going to be a next season?

Maybe I was just hoping - since I really liked it. Haven't seen the last episode yet - it's my Sat morning treat!

Power

It's a show from 50 Cent and one of the Good Wife folks.

It's about a chap who runs a bunch of nightclubs as a front for his dodgy gangster business, but then tries to go legit.

Utterly terrible with awful characters and dialogue that we barely made it past the first half hour of the first episode before losing the will to live.

Your description made me think of Hale and Pace 'The Management'.

Chasing Life

It's a bit dumb, but I kind of enjoyed the first episode which ended on a half decent cliff hanger for a back story.

Basically, new journalist gets job in Boston, gets in touch with estranged uncle and finds out she has cancer and it's about her dealing with that and the new job. So nothing really new there.

Anyway, as it's set in Boston....it's just weird seeing the character walking down the park, then end up on the other end of downtown behind Faneuil Hall, turn around and be on the other side of FH and end up at the hospital a few mins later on foot....when it's at least 10 mins on the T and a change of line from there but there you go.

Tyrant

Anyone read anything about that? Sounds like it might be interesting about son of dictator returning home after 20 year exile.

Almost Royal

On BBCA, mockumentory about a couple of folks who are miles down the line for the throne, who come to the US to do a documentary.

It's pretty stupid but kind of amusing to pass the time. Bit over the top though.

Perception is back, still not got around to catching it. Covert Affairs, also back, off to a good start but really a show that probably shouldn't have come back.

Tried watching it and couldn't get through the whole episode. Did not care for the kid characters or wife - main guy not bad though.

Disturbing scene about 10 mins into it - put me right off.

I liked it, the disconnected reality of the American family, had a good Arab Spring feel to it.

The Last Ship

This was stupid, but I still enjoyed it. Perhaps because Rhona Mitra was the original Lara Croft. Anyway, it's a US navy ship with a bunch of researchers trying to find a vaccine to a virus that is wiping the world out.

Sounded very similar to the submarine show last year, but above water and they keep moving. I'll give it a few episodes.

Dominion - Another show I've got lined up but not seen, but it's all about Gabriel and the other fairy, angel types....sounded like it might have a good cast line up but not sure about this.

Taxi Brooklyn - This sounds like a TV spin off of the Taxi movies...but it sounds shit and even more unbelievable. I'll give it an episode if I find the time.

Reckless

How crap is this show...all about dodgy corruption, naughty videos and the south...not very original and with characters you just want to flamethrow.

Secrets and Lies

It's a 6 part Aussie show, that's being remade over here...worth keeping a eye out for as it's being shown here, somewhere.

Anyway, it's about this chap who discovers a neighbours kid while out running and becomes the prime suspect by the police even though he's innocent.

First episode is a little slow but a nice intro to the characters and leaves you with a good cliff hanger.

Sensitive Skin...new series starting on HBO this Sunday. Kim Cattrall takes the leading role in this remake of a British TV series starring Joanna Lumley. It's about a couple who decide to downsize and move into a city condo. Every time the husband is ill he thinks he is dying. She on the other hand tries to recapture her youth. Sounds familiar.
