Steve Merchant had little to do with that, or Extras, you're thinking of Ricky Gervais.

Not seen Hello Ladies yet but will when I get chance.

No, both he and Ricky Gervais ran 'An Idiot Abroad'.

If you're going to be picky at least be accurate as well.
Ricky Gervais starred in one and was the predominant force in the other.
Steve Merchant wasn't involved in the last episodes of An Idiot Abroad.
Both were fundamentally Gervais projects.

I refer to my original statement.

Or maybe it was because I find it hard for anyone to dislike S Merchant in those shows, especially as in An Idiot Abroad he was the one who was considerate, Ricky Gervais was the one who did the dirty deeds.

I wasn't thinking of Ricky Gervais though. I know which one's which.

I think they do a lot of things together. He (Merchant) was in extras for only a couple of scenes that I saw but played the idiot well.

So - Idiot Abroad - reality show?

Anyway, like Veep - you really need to like the characters in previous shows.

An Idiot Abroad is pretty funny.

I have to say I hated 'Veep'.

It's all scripted to a degree. Even their radio show would repeat the same dumb things he said, as if people didn't listen regularly enough to notice.

Reality shows are all scripted.

And now they are going to do a spin off. Which sounds like it will be exactly the same, but set somewhere else with different characters. Lazy TV

Yeah it was awful.

Sometimes even a perfect bottom isn't enough.

Great show... I wish I could track down some earlier seasons now.

Dracula

Thought it a bit meh. Funky costume period piece though...shame the characters and story were rather boring.
