Just finally got around to watching that first episode of "Awake".
It really was a slow, lame version of Ashes to Ashes wasn't it...which annoyingly shit characters.
It'll end up either a coma study, done to death, or appeasing to everyone and that both are alive.
Would be interesting if he were dead though and this was his hades, but you know that won't happen.
I'll give it another episode to see how it shakes out, but not holding much hope...so it probably won't get canned then

Gotta give it another episode and discount the first as trying to much, but it was too slow to get into the back story and the ancillary characters were all a bit lame I thought, so far.

I didn't realise it was starting this week...for some reason I thought it was mid March.

Breakout Kings
Second series, seemed like they tried to get a little serious and darker than the first and thought it didn't work as well.

It was okay, some amusing lines and has potential to be okay, though I'm sure it'll get canned as it probably takes the mick to much out of some folks.
Also the other problem with it, basically the blond bint from Lost, she was supposed to be the big queen B back in highschool, now broke, back in town and everyone else is kind of gloating over and taking their digs. Those people though are probably as old as the grandmother character in this. That and this bint is supposed to have highschool kids, yet be in her early 30's along with everyone else.
Yay teen pregnancies if that's the case :/

Well, Terra Nova got cancelled. Probably needed to be put out of it's misery as the dialogue was extremely cheesy and the story wasn't really going anywhere. It was costing a massive amount per episode and if it had continued going the show would probably have gone from making a small profit to putting the network in the red. There was enough in the show to keep me watching for a whole season but probably the worst of the shows I have stuck with.
Tried watching 'The River' but had to turn it off as it was pretty dire. The 'found footage' style a la Blair Witch project was irritating and the plot moved too fast for my liking. It felt like they had just plonked the characters in the Amazon as fast as possible with the minimum of explanation or story development. I wouldn't advise anyone watch it as the ratings are poor and it will probably get cancelled.
The pilot for Touch was good once you get over how weird the premise is. I liked the way they tied the stories together. Has the potential to be a great show if they can string it out for a season.
At the moment I'm watching:
Shameless US - The last season was pretty much a 1 to 1 copy of the original - which is great if you haven't seen it or forgot most of it like I did. This season is a bit better mainly because it's becoming more of its own show. I like some of the characters better than the original though there really is no substitute for David Threlfall's Frank Gallagher.
Lillyhammer (aka the Sopranos in Norway)- Just finished. This was a total surprise as my expectations were low. Turned out to be a pretty funny fish out of water story. Looking forward to the next season.
Walking Dead - This is still the best show on TV (till Game of Thrones returns). There's no doubt that this season is a lot slower and much more grounded in character development than action (a bit of a problem as some of the characters are pretty irritating). They went from 8 or 9 episodes to about 13 which spread the budget a bit thinner and the change in personnel had some knock on effects. There was a lull in the middle of the season but it's really starting to pick up again - recent episodes have been among the best (turning point for me was the awesome scene at the end of episode 8).
Once upon a time - Yep, it's still hard to see how they can string this premise along for multiple seasons but it's entertaining enough.
Sherlock - Bloody fantastic. Can't believe I hadn't watched this already. My one complaint is that there isn't enough episodes.

Is he supposed the be American or not? Actually everyone's accent seems annoying in it.

I've just rewatched the 1st series and watched the 1st of the 2nd series. Thought s02e01 was pretty poor and not a patch on the first series.

I actually liked that one because the Conan Doyle story it's based on - 'A Scandal in Bohemia' wasn't very good; Holmes gets outwitted way too easily. The plot in the updated one was all over the place but there were some pretty good scenes. Hoping they do an update of 'the speckled band'. That one scared the crap out of me when I read it as a kid.

Doomsday bunkers on the discovery channel. Quite the funniest thing I have seen for some time. People buying bunkers to prepare for the end of the world/zombee attack. Fabulous. They spend a fortune on underground bunkers with obvious flaws. Only two episodes in, but already we have had the one that flooded (that they bought for "when mother nature reclaims the Earth through extreme weather"), one that relies on a septic tank (where you presumably find it very hard to call out a plumber what with everyone hiding in bunkers) and one where the air vent could easily be blocked with only a carrier bag.

Missing
Anyone catch that? The Judd show, where she goes to Europe to find out what has happened to her kid.
Did seem very cheesy, not sure I can be bothered...
