All this Stollen is fattening. Lucky Nutek is here to help me eat it.

Re: Stollen
Oh no it's nothing like Panettone, that dry old stuff. Stollen is delicious, especially if it has marzipan in it. Aldi do a good version and World Market have a really good one. I love British fruit cake too, my sister brought over one she made in September that I've been "seasoning" for a few weeks.

So far, this has not gone quite the way I had hoped.
Still, I am sure my good intentions will win the day.

Re: Stollen
This has raisins in, right? I don't like raisins, so Nutek is welcome to it

Re: Stollen
We get ours from Aldi, it seems fine to us. For Pulaski's edification, it is a much more solid and satisfying affair than the Italian confection, and the one with the marzipan inside is definitely the way to go.
I bought one a couple of weeks ago but steveq couldn't resist starting it and it was consumed in short order, leaving none for Nutek. More trips to Aldi are definitely called for between now and Christmas.

Re: Stollen
Let's have less subversive talk of alternate ingredients and more taking advantage of this public spirited offer.
