They make devices called deer whistles that fit on the front bumper and are supposed to scare deer out of your way. I don't know if their effectiveness has ever been scientifically tested.

The car was already totaled last time, insurance paid it off and we bought it back for $700... So a little time with a hammer so the tire doesn't rub and the passenger side door will open, and straighten out the mounting points for the headlight, plus a new (used off ebay) headlight and I'm good. It'll look a little rough, but it's paid for.
