Thumbs down St Louis Union Station - Kak!

I have been passing through here, for years, usually en-route to somewhere else. It has always proved useful for a good, extended lunch break.

Though I haven't been in Downtown for a couple of years, I was shocked to see that Union Station is now mostly dormant with only about 5 Stores remaining, and many Food Options shuttered.....including Houlihans.

Do any locals know what the future holds for this place? It's sad to see that it has become a wasteland.

Not a local but I heard via a forum that the owner got tax breaks to renovate it and the work will start at the end of this month. See below for article on the plans:
