using actual fresh ingredients cooked from scratch.
GRANOLA BARS 2 cups of Quaker oats 1/2 cup of wheatgerm Cup of slivered almonds 1/2 cup of chocolate chips 1/2 cup of dried cranberries or cherries 14 oz. can of low-fat condensed milk Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line an 8x8 pan with foil so that the foil extends beyond the pan, packing it firmly. Grease the foil. Mix all ingredients together and turn into pan, packing it firmly. Bake for 30 minutes. Then, put pan into freezer until the mixture is cooled and very firm, at least one hour. When firm, use foil handles to remove the mixture from the pan and then peel off foil. With a very sharp knife, cut bars into 16. You can actually leave the bars in the freezer until ready to eat. |
