sharting
Found an "International Market" with an Indian theme, lots of packet preprepared curries straight from Mumbai, genuine Indian fayre.
bought a pea and mushroom curry...few beers, popped it in the microwave.....sometime during the night....ooops. has this American diet of immense steaks and chili-cheese fries destroyed my previous Brit immunity to Dehli Belly??????? Is there a shot I can get  |
Re: sharting
:D
Just fill a sringe with Madras curry base sauce and inject it straight into the blood stream....should act as a nice booster. |
Re: sharting
Get a rubber sheet on the bed.

Re: sharting
But did you remember to consume eight pints first.....?
See? That'll be your problem. |
Re: sharting
Paul,is that the one at 116th & Rangeline? I got my popadums and spices from the there earlier this year - I was so pleased to find a shop that offered variety. The shop keeper was lovely and seemed glad to have someone take an interest in indian foods, I hope he is successful.
I was at a July 4th party last year while in Carmel and the hostess had bought in samosas from the local indian restaurant, me and hubby were the only ones that ate them as the other guests just looked at them, poked them and said 'they look funny'. I just shook my head in dismay. I came across a similar attitude at the Capriole cheese stand at the farmer's market. I am glad to have left that behind. |

And I bet you skipped the eight pints* too? Didn't you read the label?
*Just realized that's actually ten teeny weeny U.S. pints. Wow I think I'd be floating from that much liquid even if I wasn't drunk :D But perhaps it would serve to anesthetise my taste buds... :p |

It also makes you big and brave so that no curry on the menu seems insurmountable. :D
Thus far, I have never met a curry that I could stand the taste of. Of course, I haven't tried too many given the inevitable results. I'll have to get brave and try some again some day... perhaps tequila would help... |

Maybe there's a reverse strategy that might work in which you just ensure that you're roaring drunk before you even think of approaching the bathroom?
Not sure how the bathroom would fare with roaring drunks who ate curry approaching it... not ideal with MY rugs anyway. |

Re: sharting
Off to Blighty next week.... seven nights, seven curries - and - dare I say it? - seven gallons of cask-conditioned ale.... can't wait!
I'm actually over there for work so things may be a bit touch-and-go inbetween the hotel and the office in the mornings.... |
