if the wifeski wants a diamond then there's this place in memphis which are hard to beat pricewise, although I think they be run by the triads - pm me if you want details... they can get pretty much any nice brand tacori/scott kay etc and they have a massive selection of smaller brands also. I got my wifes setting from there for about 40% less than the local speciality place in hillsboro village was asking
this is another awesome internet dealer where i got the rock for my wifes engagement ring back in '03

Most of it would go into savings (they've dwindled too much lately) but a small portion would go straight into paying for the holiday I booked yesterday to the Beaches Turks & Caicos all inclusive resort (roll on September).

pay off credit card and car and "student" loan that's just a loan because the federal loans was borked...arsehats.
would get some furniture and visit my mother, it's been over 4 years since I was last in blighty and saw her....though she's planning on visiting us in August, if she can get travel insurance.

Pay off hubby's credit cards, buy myself a VW convertible beetle, book a holiday to Jamaica for our belated honeymoon....

Take a long vacation abroad with my husband.
Buy my husband the motorcycle he's been wanting for ages.
Buy a second computer.
Cut down the dead tree in the back that needs to come down.
Maybe screen the side porch, do some other home repairs.
Rest in savings or would make some extra mortgage payments.

I'd buy the platinum Lange & Sohne 1815 instead of the rubbish gold one.

Here's a topic for thought.
What would you do if somebody drove up to your door and handed you $25,000 tax free, that you could do with exactly as you wanted.
How would you spend it?
