Default The Roland Lottery - It could be YOU! (In fact, it is...)

Here's a topic for thought.

What would you do if somebody drove up to your door and handed you $25,000 tax free, that you could do with exactly as you wanted.

How would you spend it?

I would use $15,000 to pay off my wife's student loans and then buy a second hand Rav4 for her and a Pontiac Firebird for myself.

And have enough left over to take her into the city for dinner and a show.

Very unamericanlike, I would put in the the bank to increase the rainy day fund, which can never be too big here!

Well, interesting question. 6 weeks ago I would have a list as long as your arm of things I would do. Now I would stick it in the bank.

I'd keep my student load as it serves as a great tax deduction. Can we say lower tax bracket y'all. I'd take it and pay off my only credit card and use the rest in buying a nice used car. Used because the auto insurance won't be as high with that one unlike with a new one. The rest will be used to go on a nice vacation. Yeah baby.

There will be frilly girly drinks with umbrellas and all that shit. There will be cabana boys by the name of Ruiz and Armando. Everyone will be at my beck and call. Oh yeah, you and your wife can come. I'll have my stud muffin with me to keep me company.

I'd stick it in the bank.... in Holland. Hedge fund against currency devaluation.

Fence our yard so the new puppy can run around..
Put in a concrete driveway...
Do some landscape work..
Pay off all credit card debt..
Stick the rest in some high yield savings account(if those still exist)..

So far sunflower's winning because of gratuitous puppy mention.
