Guess I should add that I will miss my family when we leave. But they visit often - they love it there - just don't want to leave NZ.
Each to their own.

Apparently I am a great babysitter for my nephews and nieces when their parents want a europe break without kids.

Hmmmm- maybe I will need to rethink about giving my sisters my new UK address when I have it.
Would love to post you some pics today of York where I am currently staying and typing from a B and B but can't remember how to do it, but man this country has soooo much going for it, unfortunately some of the natives have forgotten how lucky they are!!

York is simply stunning, all church spires, windy streets with quaint shops and cafes and bars and soooo much history........Romans, Vikings, Normans, pogroms, Richard III, Henry VIII, castles, ruins, beautiful parks and daffodils, does it get much better?

The old lane in York with the black and white buildings that seem to be falling into each other because the are so old....theres a very old pub on that lane that makes the best beef and ale pie I have ever tasted....York Minster....Beed the list goes on....enjoy your stay in York....you lucky thing you....
