Regrets?
Any life regrets? Seen on another forum, but I don't really have any regrets. Make some choices early in life, hoped they were the right ones, and things turned out ok

Loads of em!
Thing is, I'm a big believer in fate, so if I hadn't have made those almighty mess-ups I wouldnt have what I have now, and I think that all the things that I regret led on to better things and made me the person I am today

Re: Regrets?
I try not to have any regrets by taking all opportunities that come my way and pursuing my dreams. It's easier to say I tried than to say I didn't and will never know what could have been. My husband often talks about how he wished he'd played football in college, and now it's too late. I feel bad that he didn't go for it when he had the chance. But like Clarrisageo said, he may have been a different person in a different place today if he had (perhaps not a better place!).

No offence but you all kinda sound like a Hallmark greeting.
Don't give me all this usual guff -
"If I hadn't gone through all those things in my life then I wouldn't be the person I am today."
Regrets are healthy, did every single thing that you've ever experienced really have to happen to you in order to make you the person you are now? No. And don't tell me you don't regret calling your cousin a ****bag at your brothers wedding, or that you had to have your car stolen as some sort of rite of passage. Regret not locking it or regret having that 7th pint of beer! Don't tell me you had to experience being felt up by your druken boss at the Christmas party in order to cultivate your now fabulous personality and lifestyle......please........

Re: Regrets?
its not so much 'regret' as acknowledgment that with hindsight - life might have been a bit easier if I had done something different.
However- as said above making life easier in one may would have made other things different too and life would have gone a different way. So Im not sorry I did the things i did - but do acknowledge I may have chosen a harder path then i needed to on occasion!

Re: Regrets?
Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Re: Regrets?
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

Not so many about things that I myself have done, but of those the big one would be about having stayed far too long in a relationship that had gone bad.

Loads of them.
But I think the point is, it's a bit late to do anything about most of them, so where's the mileage in digging them up and looking at them?
