A bit OT but ive just been told that once I become a citizen I loose my right to vote in the UK - the UK will allow it but US wont..

Never heard of this - is it correct?

How would they know? I think it'd be an interesting lawsuit.

Regardless, you forfeit your UK vote after 15 years away.

One of ours was on oxygen and looked as though he lived in cabin in the woods, but none the worse for that.

The trick would be trying to maintain your name on the electoral roll. If you are not resident in the UK, filed a P85, don't want to be accidentally called up for jury duty in the UK, etc etc.

Do they give out stickers at all polling places here? It always makes me feel as though I'm back in primary school and getting a gold star on my chart.
