Here's one website for the JI recipes:
http://www.the-organic-gardener.com/...html#jirecipes

Also:
http://www.backyardgardener.com/soil/soil2.html

nb

American compost = aged decayed organic matter, usually vegetable and animal manure -- NO SOIL or artificial nutrients
British compost = American "potting soil" -- can contain soil and artificial nutrients

Thank you for this, Amy!

But don't you have better things to do?

I'm afraid the side arrived just as I was leaving work to pick up Toon from the airport.

Bloody luck.

Can the allotment do double duty as a cemetary plot by any chance?

I think your question's been answered... I think. In between talk of visiting football teams and 'ing, that is.

Anyway, I can confirm that lemon trees grow just fine in a half-barrel or large pot... but unlike Snowbunny, I don't have a ******' clue what variety I'm talking about, nor whether that makes a damned bit of difference!

How very true.

Though I also like German, Austrian, French, Czeck, Russian and English opera

Not sure whether any of these nations are any good at producing lemons though
