Probably moot for at least a while - jail time seems quite likely.

Re: Planespotting II
Will be interesting to see what the outcome is, provided it makes the news, plea bargain, or will she go to trial, but I do hope either way she spends at least some time in jail or prison, people need to face more consequences when they pull stunts like this on aircraft.
I see American Airline is also suspending resumption of alcohol sales, I wonder its possible alcohol may just fade into the sunset on US domestic flights.

Re: Planespotting II
Wonder what makes people do such stupid things, and did he doing previously during his 27 years at the airline. Seems he also jumped ship and retired before the incident was reported to the company in an effort to avoid being terminated. From another forum kind of sounds like he may have taken an early out that the airline was offering last year to avoid layoffs, which would have entitled him to benefits and a paycheck until 65, and sounds like the airline upon learning of this situation, treated his departure as a termination and revoked benefits and pay until 65, but as far as I know I don't believe Southwest has pensions, and I imagine he is likely still entitled to his 401k.
No co-worker should have to have that experience while at work, and its not like the first officer could leave the workplace, so its even worse in some ways as she had to sit there until on the ground again to get away from him.

Interesting commentary on how Boeing may (or may not) dig itself out of the hole it has fallen into. A brand new single aisle jet for 2029 or wait for improved engine technologies.

I must admit, I’m not too clued up on Boom Supersonic, but this is potentially exciting news if it happens. United have put an order in for 50 of their supersonic jets and hope to put them in service 2029.

Did you even bother clicking on the link? Within 5 seconds of reading the link, I read "Optimized to run on up to 100% sustainable aviation fuel ... " "... United customers could fly from New York to London in just three and a half hours on a net-zero carbon flight"

This happened last week, but I just came across it today.
A little oops moment for the pilots.

I have been monitoring Boom for awhile. The idea of the Overture is exciting to me.
They are far from the only SST is development though, Spike are working on a SS business jet that would potentially sell even more than the Overture.
There was also Aerion, but they ceased development last year due to capital constraints.

Anyway SAF is not net zero carbon, very little is, bit like adding ethanol to gas. I thought it was mixed 50/50 currently .

Well the tech demonstrator (XB-1) has already been rolled out and is ready to begin testing, so maybe a little more realistic then some of the other proposals - although this is a long way from the ultimate Overture goal of fare-paying service I will agree.
