A pet peeve of mine is having to reel out the list of people that have "helped" (greeted) me in a store when I come to check out.

I don't recognize what you're describing. Where are you shopping?

Whenever I've been in clothing stores at the mall I always get asked for employees that have helped when I check out. I guess they have targets to meet.

I can't remember the last time I bought clothes in a mall - probably some athletic socks about six or seven years ago. And before that, I dunno, maybe the socks were the first clothing I bought in a mall or department store after coming to the US almost 15 years ago.

I hate this commission thing sometimes I just want to buy goods. Car shopping is the worse, you call up or inquire online about a car , then you turn up at the dealership and the person is on break and no one else will help you. I don't have time for this type of service.

Similar thing in many other stores, carpet, furniture, clothing, etc. Even Bestbuy who says they don't work on commission, if you speak to a different sales person about something, they get upset.

I bought a new Honda Accord last summer through Costco. Costco referred me to a Honda dealer and the name of a contact there who deals specially with Costco customers. No salesmen, no hassle. I told him the model and color I wanted. He gave me a price which was very good then went to the lot brought back the car and I test drove it. The rest was just paperwork

Course not. It was a suggestion on a better way to buy a car for people who have peeves about all the hassles of dealing with sticker prices and sales people on car lots

The number of twats who own BMWs. No license plate on the front end and contrary to DMV regulations, tailgate like everyone has to scoot over fast to get out of their way, seldom stop at a red before doing a right turn.

I think BMWs must attract a certain state of mind

Depends on the state, not here in AZ.

Not here in Florida either, everyone drives like that here, it's not the beemers that concern me but the jacked up trucks driven by 15 year olds
