It's a bit hazy ... coming through in bits a pieces ... something about a stick or perhaps something being stuck somewhere.

A pet peeve nonetheless, regardless of what drives the train, and most importantly, personal to the peevee. :D

Yeah, you might just be right :D

But my point about the yield sign....this evening, someone didn't yield causing a truck to swing out to miss it, swerved into the third lane on one side up in the air...a proper underpant situation as it almost jack knifed, but luckily didn't.

Do I have to spell it out?
I wasn't calling americans stupid.. just the practice of refusing to accept you're american, but instead having to be a sub-culture american of some kind.
The prefix to the word "American" is what counts for stupidity, not the word American itself. I'd suggest you just reread the post again and try and understand what you're missing, otherwise you're in danger of looking like you're deliberately trying to make an ass of yourself.

I understand you perfectly, I just don't think you get it. There's a difference. Have a nice day.

Fair enough.

Are you really some kind of a mentalist?

It's OK - I don't mind.

I'm just curious.... where did you get the planet you're living on?

The reason I ask is I think the planet I've been living on has got a leak or something. It may be time for a replacement....:p

People who have a cell phone and then don't bother answering them, why have one if you're never going to answer the bleedin' thing?

That's an interesting one, because for me one of the overwhelming advantages of having a mobile (well, caller ID specifically) is being able to know who's ringing you so you can ignore them :p

(I never ignore mates, only in-laws and spam, but the principle is valid)

I was thinking specifically of my MIL to be honest. She never answers her cell phone, but will answer the house phone which also has caller ID on, so at least I know she's not ignoring me.

She probably has the ringer set too quiet, or off. My wife's a great one for doing that

She probably has buried away in her handbag, and can't hear it.
