People wanting to crap in your yard

Not really, they only work directly, in direct contact with skin, whereas poison ivy and sumac release their mischief onto any surface and it can transferred later onto skin, or be transferred onto other surfaces and still be transferred onto skin. ..... If you have a dog you may find that he rubbed against poison ivy and got it on his coat before later rubbing against your leg, or you stroked him then rubbed your arm.

Hilarity (for the garden owner) ensues.

Hopefully - but you may never know as IME it takes 3days-3weeks to develop the irritating rash depending on how sensitive you are to urushiol.

I also miss Urtica Dioica - even though it was the bane of my life as a kid, but there was always a dock leaf to help relieve the sting. Of course, not only are they are great for butterflies, but without them the World Nettle Eating contest would not exist!!!

Stinging Nettles
I guess we're not all super smart and some of us had to Google it
One of my brothers and me dared one of our younger brothers to ride his little 3 wheeled scooter down a steep bank. He did it but fell off half way down into a bed of stinging nettles
Poor kid was covered with whelps. He never did tell on us, he told mum he just toppled over

I'm going to hazard a guess that it's not something you want on your balloon knot, however much of a delay there is in the irritation presenting, though

Most of us probably had to Google it. I did.

We were the same. There's 10 of us ranging from 54 to 72. We stuck together for the most part. Except the time when I was about 9 and my sisters were fooling around in the kitchen. One of them threw a piece of raw liver ar the other one snd missed. It splatted on my dad's brand new wallpaper and left a huge bloody splat. She promptly shouted "Dad, Dorothy threw liver at the wallpaper". Said sister now sports a large scar on her left arm from where I broke the coke bottle when I hit her with it. Needless to say I was in a bit of trouble for that.

The blood on the arm should have taken your dad's mind off the blood on the wall though. Nice move D.
