There's already a long thread on this in the trailer park.

They do. Dark chocolate Snickers. And very good they are too!

Anyone tried the Cadburys with Oreo cookies? Delicious. That and M&S walnut whips. Really wish I wasn't diabetic.

Re: Proper Cadbury's Now Banned in USA!?
Hi all.
My first post is out of annoyance. I have learnt that authentic British made Cadbury's chocolate is no longer able to be imported from the UK as a result of some lawsuit by Hershey's!?
I'm not sure on the exact reasoning (anyone?) But what I do know is we're going to be stuck with the definitely inferior American made equivalents as a result.
It's not the end of the Twirld (sorry) however Cadbury's is better than any American chocolate and is a taste of home! Apart from stockpiling and petitioning I can't see a way round it.
I'd be interested to know if anyone else is annoyed by this!

Why are Hershey doing this after having the licensing rights for decades is my question.
Its the principal of the thing, I know Hershey are in the right, but still I can choose who I want to support, I read labels anyway so its bye bye Rolos, Kit Kats, Mini eggs, Creme Eggs, Caramello etc and I will boycott American products like Reeses pieces.
It does seem weird that they have the rights to sell/reproduce so many British chocolates and they choose to just sell a handfull, and then its a lack luster knock off, all along Hershey could have imported Real Cadburys and sold them as a British import line with a slightly higher retail...
I hate the greed and control of big corporations, that's what I see here.

Are the Cadbury in Canada the same? I know we have ones you can't find in the US and they all have the Mondelez International on the label so I assume they manufacture them, but I have no idea if the recipe is the same or not.
If they are the same in Canada, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy from a Canadian supplier for personal use and buy in Canadian $ since it would be cheaper if paying with a USD credit card?
Gotta be some Canadian selling the stuff online...(I don't)

The Cadbury's Dairy Milk manufactured in the US is a different recipe to the British one - and noticeably different. I believe the Cadbury's available in Canada is also the stuff produced in America.

Appears the Canadian versions are made by Cadbury
Which has the Mondelēz name on the bottom of it, and I believe that is the company that also owns Cadbury now.
It appears Cadbury makes all of their Canadian products in Toronto in their own factory, so it's not made by Hershey.

Yes. Marathon, Opal Fruits, etc. Should have left well alone.
Anyway, the whole chocolate thing is no big deal. It's exactly as difficult for me to get UK Cadbury chocolate as it was when I moved out here ten years ago (as I did not know of World Market back then), so I am unaffected. I get Dairy Milks et al when I visit the UK, or when people come out here to see me and in between times, I can always find something I like. I can, as far as I know, still get Aeros, Yorkies and other assorted chocolates in the British section of Meijer, so big ****ing deal I say.
The whole boycotting thing makes me piss myself though. It's a couple of thousand (maybe) expat Brits not buying Hershey? I guarantee no ****s will be given at head office over that one.
