Nettie's Road Trip, May 2010

Re: Nettie's Road Trip, May 2010
Like JG says, it's a bull moose. There was a cow and calf around as well, so I was not happy about getting too close. I have a piccy of the cow, but she always kept herself between the calf and us.
Also, a grizzly was moving into the area (Lake Josephine at Many Glacier, on the east side of the park), so we were asked to leave by a ranger pretty soon after I got these photographs.

Great pictures! Would love to take my husband up that way some day. We went to Montana and Wyoming when I was 10, I remember it was very beautiful.

Awesome! It looks like you went up in a helicopter, which is something I've always wanted to do.
While you're in MT, are you going to visit Bozeman, to see the site of Zefram Cochrane's historic warp drive flight and first contact?

Works for me. The first one is a moose hiding behind trees. The second is a white mountain goat laying on a rock. The third is a wolf walking away. The last two are taken from a light aircraft or chopper of snow capped mountains.
