We changed to streaming only and haven't used it once since then.

Re: Netflix
We do watch the streaming a lot, well the kids do especially. They watch Dr Who ALL the time, I love Dr Who but they can tell you what number episode it is, what the episode is called etc etc. This weekend we introduced our older boys (10 and 8), to the wonders of Red Dwarf they loved it. But hope we won't be getting phone calls from school saying one of them has called another kid a smeg head

Re: Netflix
We cancelled our Netflix completely, both streaming and dvds, coincidentally when the price changes etc. occurred, but we did it simply because we were no longer using the service (no time..). I work in a college library with a collection of tens of thousands of videos (both DVD and VHS) which satisfies most needs for art-house flicks, documentaries etc., and both our nearby public libraries have big collections which include TV series as well..

Re: Netflix - ADDICTION
Anyone "addicted" to Netflix? I mean, really addicted. I feel like a morphine junky or something. Now that I've "discovered" some TV series, I keep watching one after the other after the other - till I'm exhausted and MUST go to bed. I used to think I did NOT have an addictive character, but Netflix streaming changed that. I've never ever watched TV (except as a child), but this is something else.
I hate myself for it, wasting precious time. But can't seem to break the habit.

Netflix will have to put PPV movies on streaming to stay competitive, hopefully sooner rather than later.

When I find a TV series I really enjoy I will stay up late and watch as many episodes as possible...and carry on watching them the following evening until I get to the end. I did this with Dexter, Spartacus, The Wire, Sex and the City, Nurse Jackie and many more.

Re: Netflix - ADDICTION
Netflix streaming actually makes US TV more palatable, I don't have to wait to find out the answer to another plot twist.

Re: Netflix - ADDICTION
I much prefer to watch the whole series at once...rather than wait week after week. I quite often do the same with UK TV series and mini series.

It never seems to end though! I'm watching Grey's Anatomy right now. I managed to get midway into season 4 within 2-3 weeks! I think there's more than 8 seasons
Yes, it's extreme. Sometimes it's daylight by the time I stop watching. Arrrgh..

You're missing out not watching Frost. I think most people felt that he would always be Del Boy, but he plays the role wonderfully, one of my favorite TV series' ever.

As for John Thaw, he had "grown up" by the time he was Morse. He was excellent in that role, the exact opposite to his Jack Reagan. I liked him in both but I think Morse was my favourite.
