Cape Cod seems to be pretty bad. Most people have no power, and no prospects of getting it back any time soon, as the wind conditions seem to be bad still. Also, it is a new moon and an exceptionally high tide earlier today, so there's some pretty bad flooding. Must be frustrating if the basement is flooded and you can't use the sump pump because of no electricity.

I hope you all survived...I was joking that our house would become something like the 'Shining' if this continued! Luckily we didn't lose power but were truly snowed in for 24 hours. It's fun for a while but there's only so many candy land games and spongbob shows a person can tolerate.
Luckily the plow guy came at 5:00pm just as I had strapped on my my skiis to get some fresh air and sanity. I couldn't help but break into applause as he started on our driveway.
I decided the roads were good and went out to replenish wine stores. God, I hate snow...
Noticeable...the amount of locals thrilled to bits with this weather, my hubby included. Winter isn't winter without a massive snowstorm with power outages and tons of fire tending and shovelling to be done. Even better if theres a crock pot of stew going. The locals seem a bit too gleeful about it all.

Roads were still really shit this morning and amused by how little pavements have been tended to.
Meant to get them cleared within 3 hours of storm ending in Boston...didn't see to much taken care of there from family pics either
Had issues getting home as someone had crashed into someone at the roundabout and it had backed up all the way down the road almost to our place.

According to the Cape Cod Times, 84,000 customers still without power on Cape Cod at noon today. It looks like the storm was much worse on the Cape than predicted, with winds up to 85 mph, high tides and flooding, and a lot of snow, surprisingly. (Snow is usually moderate on the Cape since winter temperatures are relatively high.). Our daughter was lucky, she got power back last night.. Her town is still 77% without electricity.
I just looked at the CT map, it looks like there are some localities with outages still, but only a minority.
