This makes the coronavirus sound quite benign. Takeaway - swim in the sea, not freshwater. Or, stay home.

Marvellous, something else to add to the list of stuff that is trying to stab/shred/eat/poison me in Florida.

Freshwater swimming was bad enough beforehand with the cottonmouths and gators, if you want to swim in the sea round here then you take your chances with necrotizing fasciitis and covidiots, best settle for not getting wet outside of the bathroom.

Yup, that and death by idiot driver. Some may think it strange but shooting figures fairly low down on my list of likely ways to go in Florida, we do only kill about 2700 people by bullet a year....

On a Florida fishing forum I saw a picture of someone's calf after a stingray got him and it was enough to make you barf. When you're wading, shuffle your feet so they know you're there.
