Bizarre story, even by Florida standards, breaking today. Apparently a couple decided to play hide-n-seek in their Orlando area apartment after downing a few drinks. He went and hid in a suitcase and she found him and zipped it up and went off and fell asleep. Woke up a few hours later to find he had suffocated. Emergency services arrived and both cell phones were checked and discovered that he had cried out something like ..'I cannot breath' which she replied...'that's what it feels like when you choke me' this morning she appeared in front of a judge!

Either he's a pretty small man, and/or a circus performer, or "suitcase" means something different from what I envisage.

BTW The address as reported doesn't exist - Franz Lane, is actually Franz Court, and it doesn't have "blocks" in the usual American sense, unless you count a block of town homes/ apartments as "a block". .... So I am sceptical about the explanation that they were "playing hide and seek" - and the video on the phone tells a very different story.

I'd say that this one was the most appropriate. What a bellend.

I’m guessing that that could actually kill some virus that actually got caught in the hot dry air from the hairdryer. But the more dangerous virus would be the ones that had already got down to you airways and lungs, out of reach of the hairdryer.

I read somewhere yesterday that drinking plenty of hot liquid would kill the virus before it reaches the lungs.

Some other idiot had been suggesting that drinking (cold) water every 15 minutes would rinse any viruses in you mouth down into yr stomach, where the acid would kill them.

Just watching 'Tiger King' on Netflix. Lots of WTF, especially the Floridians. I'd say the Cuban-American drug smuggling reptile keeper who did 12 years of a 100 year prison sentence comes across like a normal Norman compared to the rest of the reprobates.

Professor Alan McNally, Director for Institute of Microbiology and Infection University of Birmingham Medical and Dental school talks about that in this video.
Hot Tetley doesn't necessarily work :-)
Tried unsuccesfully to put the link in. Go to University of Birmingham on FB, look on videos section.
