Um? Because people out to get you and cause you harm knock before they attack you? At what point does a person think that answering their front door being knocked requires carrying a gun, presumably ready to shoot if this was an instant over reaction on pulling the trigger.

Hmm, upon reflection, is it really ok to answer the door armed when suspecting a relative to be the one knocking, even (or especially) if you had a beef with them???
Earlier that evening, Dennis had gotten into an argument with another relative because that person had come by the home and loudly banged on the front door.
When he heard the loud raps again an hour later, Dennis believed it was that same relative and opened the door while armed.

Only in Florida does the only black man on a jury get sent to prison - for sleeping in and turning up late. (After a public outcry he has now actually been pardoned)

Ah, so that’s why the judge fined him and sent him to prison. Makes much more sense. Would he have sent a white juror to prison for the same offence?

Kind me says that the judge believed the lad to be an honest and true type who'd learnt his lesson and could do without having a record.
Cynical me says that the judge wanted to avoid having the NAACP breathing down his neck.
